A world-class arts and learning centre, the Barbican pushes the boundaries of all major art forms including dance, film, music, theatre and visual arts
The Barbican is one of the world’s leading international arts centres. Our vision is ‘arts without boundaries’ and our mission is to deliver world-class arts and learning. Our ambitious international programme crosses all major art forms including dance, film, music, theatre and visual arts.
We are home to two art galleries, two theatres, three cinemas, a concert hall and a tropical conservatory, and over 1.1 million people attend Barbican events every year, alongside hundreds of artists and performers from across the globe.
Barbican Guildhall Creative Learning, which we run jointly with the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, supports people of all ages and backgrounds to access the arts. This includes turning world-class arts into unforgettable learning experiences for schools and colleges, helping to embed arts and creativity across the national curriculum.
From free exhibition tours at the Barbican Art Gallery for students under 14 years old, to Big Barbican Workshop cross-art days and school screenings in the Barbican cinemas from just £2 per student, you can find out about all our current opportunities here.
Our Young Barbican scheme gives anyone aged 14 -25 discounted access to unmissable art and entertainment as well as exclusive events, development programmes and creative career opportunities. We also have a growing CPD offer including Weekend Labs and regular Teach Meets.
