The Ben Uri Gallery is the only specialist art museum in Europe addressing universal and ever-more central issues of identity and migration through the visual arts.
Art, Identity and Migration are the key themes that run through Ben Uri's learning programme.
Our collection principally reflects the work, lives and contribution of British and European artists of Jewish descent, it now continues to grow to reflect wider migration communities and we have over 1400 works from 35 countries for you to see online.
Our purpose is to engage the largest possible audience, drawn from the widest possible communities, in our exploration of Ben Uri’s artists –and to encourage others to explore their own identity and creativity.
School visits to Ben Uri
FREE tailor-made Art, History and Literacy sessions for Primary and Secondary schools, supporting the National Curriculum.
Our learning sessions are run by experienced facilitators and offer active, child-led explorations of our current exhibitions and collection.
All teachers are welcome to make a preliminary visit and discuss their group’s specific needs.
We also offer tours and workshops for SEN Groups, Faith Schools and Youth Groups.
Ben Uri is dedicated to extending its reach by offering schools and community groups the opportunity to engage with our collection within their own setting. Using our centenary reproductions, we can bring Ben Uri to your classroom and offer bespoke sessions to support your group’s needs.
