Bigfoot is a thriving independent arts organisation with a vision to raise standards in education through a creative approach to learning.
VISION: To provide schools with uncompromising high quality creative practitioners who inspire students and teachers to explore, question, and take risks with the curriculum using their imaginations.
We pride ourselves on providing schools with highly trained and experienced creative practitioners who are able to enrich and extend a school's existing curriculum and after school provision.
We work within primary, secondary and post 16 education environments both during and out of school time, as well as run specialist performing arts courses throughout the school holidays. Our ability to form long lasting relationships with teachers, as well as listen and respond to each school's specific needs, allows our work to become embedded within the whole school.
Bigfoot offers a vast array of sustainable and cost-effective curriculum based enrichment workshop and assembly programmes, designed for the whole school, and delivered across the UK. Generically all programmes incorporate key learning objectives for literacy, numeracy and PSHE, and require facilitators to complete assessment sheets at the end of each workshop to document the learning taking place.
Bigfoot's Core Values:
Encouraging children and young people to learn and develop skills through creative expression
Providing a safe environment for them to question and take risks whilst having fun
Producing a diverse range of curriculum enrichment programmes which complement and enhance the National Curriculum and key government strategies for learning
Creating programmes which are inclusive, sustainable and far-reaching
Providing an excellent service to schools and students through friendly and positive communication
Ensuring our Bigfooters are the very best in the industry by providing them with an intensive training, monitoring, mentoring and CPD programme.
