The English Folk Dance and Song Society (EFDSS) is the national folk arts development organisation for England, based at Cecil Sharp House in Camden, London, home to EFDSS' Vaughan Williams Memorial Library and Archive
The English Folk Dance and Song Society runs projects and workshops for children and young people throughout the education sector. Working with schools, colleges and youth organisations, we provide exciting opportunities for all age groups to engage with folk music, dance and song and learn about our dynamic, living folk heritage.
To reach as wide an audience as possible, we often work in partnership with other education and cultural organisations, such as music education hubs. Projects take place in London and other parts of England.
We create bespoke projects for individual schools, and have also devised a range of freely downloadable resources to help bring folk arts to life in the classroom. www.efdss.org/resourcebank
