Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery Grade is 1 listed manor house in the heart of Ealing, with an adjacent contemporary art gallery showcasing some of the most influential artists and sculptures working today
Our interactive, engaging tours and workshops introduce pupils to Sir John Soane, the renowned regency architect who built Pitzhanger Manor in 1800 and became on of the most influential neo-classical architects of his time. Through Soane, children and young people will journey through time, exploring key changes in architecture and design, using games, role play and collaborative design challenges to immerse themselves in the history and modern context of art and design. They will consider the importance of design, looking at how it reflects society and the way we live today.
The Manor has been closed for a major HLF restoration and is due to open in late 2018.
We are running a varied programme of Outreach and Education events while the building is closed, please do contact us for more details.
