Spotlight is a Creative Youth Service designed to inspire. Shaped by young people, for young people - and it's all FREE.
Spotlight Creative Youth Service works with young people aged 11-19.
While based in Tower Hamlets, the service is not borough-specific and welcomes young people from all across London.
The service works across three main strands to engage young people: Get Creative, Get Inspired, Get Active.
Get Creative:The Get Creative strand sees Spotlight engage with high profile creative arts partners to deliver engaging arts programs. Key Delivery Partners are Bow Arts, HighRise Theatre Company, IMD Legion Dance, XLP & Ruff Sqwad Arts, as well as regular sessions run by The Barbican, London Film School, London College of Fashion & CREATE London.
We deliver regular sessions of Music, Drama, Dance, Visual Art & Film Making throughout term time & holidays
Get Inspired:The Get Inspired strand uses Spotlight's skilled Youth Work team to support and guide young people in all aspects of life.
Offering advice & guidance daily with partners such as Docklands Outreach and the NSPCC, young people who access Spotlight can benefit from professional support.
At Spotlight, we believe it is important to help create well-rounded young people who are informed and inspired about their community and their futures.
Get Active:Spotlight's Get Active strand works with partners such as Fight 4 Change, Active Communities Network, Celtic FC Foundation, Access Sport and Limehouse Boxing Academy to engage young people in sports, health and well-being sessions.
Using state of the art facilities in our gym, Spotlight also offers girls only sessions as well as mixed boxing, football, BMX & dodgeball.
Spotlight is #OpenToAll young people aged 11-19 and totally free. We are able to support school visits or tours of our centres as well as assemblies and bespoke workshops within the arts curriculum. Spotlight is also beginning to deliver Arts Award Qualifications from early 2017.
