Our mission is to empower young people to change their world, creating a centre of excellence in performing arts and media for all children and young people
Wac Arts has been home to thousands of talented young people, harnessing their extraordinary potential every year, equipping them to make positive choices for themselves and a positive contribution to society. Our work has opened countless doors for young people, creating life-changing opportunities that may have been otherwise inaccessible to them. Our mission is to be a sustainable arts-inspired educational safe haven for generations of young people, providing high-quality training at low cost in fantastic facilities.
Wac Arts is proud to offer innovative programmes and cutting edge training taught by industry professionals in a safe, fun and creative environment. We offer after-school clubs, weekend classes, holiday projects and a full-time Diploma in Professional Musical Theatre. All our classes are inclusive, and we also run additional sessions for young people with disabilities.
We can offer schools a range of workshops, reflecting our diverse offering. For those in KS3+, we offer dance, drama and singing workshops, run by the tutors of our diploma. This develops the student's ability in the performing arts, as well as providing the opportunity to ask questions about a career and training within this field.
We also run Wac Arts Reach, which is one of our newest programmes, funded by BBC Children in Need. This project takes cutting edge technology into schools and youth organisations. Our Reach team have also created a free toolkit, available to download on our website.
